Cosmic Crisp is a cross between Enterprise and Honeycrisp, developed by Washington State University over 22 years before its release in 2019. It has an exceptionally long shelf life — up to a year in cold storage — and was bred specifically to hold its texture and flavor longer than any other variety.
A lot of friends have recommended this to me, and it's available in other countries as well. The deep red almost looks fake under the store lights, like something out of a fairy tale. I wasn't expecting it to actually taste as intense as the name suggests — but it does.
Given the name and all the recommendations, I had really high expectations for its crispiness—and it definitely lived up to them."
